Clean Sheets Rule Match Week 2

Match Week 2 of Season 03 was a week for defences, with five of the ten fixtures ending in a shutout and three sides winning by three clear goals inside the 25 minutes.

Murji Sundries set the tone with a 3-0 win away at Rungu FC, and Growing Trees matched it with the same scoreline against Care & Cure, while Smiles Cars were just as convincing in a 3-0 result over Dar Glass.

Elsewhere, U World edged a tight one 2-1 against Fidahussein & Co, Masumin saw off Fragrance World 2-0, Dotsyndicate FC won 2-0 at SS Leopards and GF Trucks left IRH with a 2-0 win. The two draws both had plenty in them: Tiba FC and Double Click shared four goals in a 2-2, and Smart Safiri held MO Simba to 1-1.

At the top, Power Computers sit first on 6 points with a goal difference of +6, the best in the division so far. Dotsyndicate FC are level on 6 points but sit second on a goal difference of +4, with U World third, also on 6 points, at +2. MO Simba are fourth on 5 points with a healthy +5, and Double Click complete the top five on 5 points at +3.

With just a point separating the top five and goal difference already doing the heavy lifting, the margins are going to matter over the coming weeks. On this evidence, keeping the ball out at one end may prove every bit as valuable as putting it in at the other.
