Bora hits four as Double Click open with 5-2 win over Smiles Cars
Double Click got Match Week 1 off to a flying start on Pitch 01 on Friday, seeing off Smiles Cars 5-2 in a 25-minute contest that belonged, almost entirely, to Zakariya Z. Bora.
Bora opened the scoring early, and Hassan N. Rashid soon added a second to put Double Click in charge. Smiles Cars refused to let it run away from them, though, and Ali R. Sumar dragged his side back into it with two goals of his own to level the game up and give the contest a proper edge.
That was as good as it got for Smiles Cars. Bora, clearly enjoying himself, restored the lead and then struck twice more to finish with four goals to his name and put the result beyond reach. In a game this short there is little time to recover from a burst like that, and Smiles Cars had no answer.
It was an eye-catching opening night for Double Click, who found the net five times and took full advantage of the space Bora kept finding. The Player of the Match award for the winners was never in doubt: Bora's four-goal haul is the sort of return that sets a marker for the rest of the season.
For Smiles Cars there are positives to take from Sumar's double, and the way they hauled themselves level after conceding twice suggests there is fight in the side. They will want to tidy things up at the back before their next outing.
Double Click, meanwhile, could hardly have asked for a better way to begin the campaign.
